The image hover effect and the speed of the announcement bar marquee.
What it controls
Enable image hover effect adds the gentle zoom on image tiles and, on product cards, the swap to the second product image or the fade to the hover background texture. Switch it off for a completely still page.
Marquee duration is the number of seconds the marquee layout of the Announcement bar takes to run one complete loop. Higher is slower. The Marquee section and the Logo bar in marquee layout have their own Speed setting, so this one is only for the bar at the top of the page.
How it connects
The hover effect is read by product cards wherever they appear (collection grid, featured collection, recommendations, search, cart upsell), and by the collage, social gallery and mega menu tiles. The marquee duration is read by the Announcement bar only.
Setting it up
- Leave Enable image hover effect on for the demo look. Turn it off if your product photos are not cut-outs and the zoom crops them awkwardly.
- Set Marquee duration so a visitor can read each message comfortably: 30 seconds for three short messages, 40 or more for longer ones.

Tips
- All motion in Munich respects the reduced motion setting of the visitor's device. A visitor who has asked for less motion gets a still page, whatever you set here.
- The Marquee section and the Logo bar have their own speed setting, so a fast announcement bar and a slow brand marquee can live on the same page.
- The hover effect is also what fades in the hover background texture on product cards. Switch it off and cards show the plain tile.
