When to use it

Near the end of the about page and the blog page, and on the home page for a store that sells through email. One per page at most, and not on the same screen as the footer newsletter block.

Tips

  • Signups become customers with the newsletter tag and marketing consent, in Customers in your admin. Connect Shopify Email or your email app to that segment; the theme does not send anything.
  • Say what the visitor gets and how often. "One email a month" converts better than "Subscribe".
  • The privacy note is for a link to your privacy policy and one sentence on unsubscribing. It is not the place for legal text.
  • The footer has a newsletter block of its own. Use this section for a signup with a picture and a proper pitch; use the footer block for the quiet version on every page.
