Quick view
The modal that opens a product from a card with gallery and buy box, without leaving the page.
What it does
Renders the product a visitor opens from a card’s quick view link: gallery, title, price, variant picker, quantity and buy buttons, in a modal over the current page. Adding to cart from the modal opens the cart drawer.
When to use it
Turn it on when your products have variants and you want visitors to buy from the collection page or a featured collection. For products without options, Quick add on the card is enough.
Setting it up
- Theme settings → Product cards → Quick view on.
- Nothing else. The section is not added to a template; the theme renders it when needed.
Settings
This section has no settings of its own.
Tips
- Quick view is turned on under Theme settings, Product cards. This section has no settings of its own; it is the part of the theme that renders the modal.
- The modal loads the product only when a visitor opens it, so it costs nothing on the collection page until then.
- Without JavaScript the quick view link is a normal link to the product page.
